Oh help! Oh no! It’s The Gruffalo and he’s BACK these Summer holidays

This Summer, embark on the self-led Gruffalo Spotters Trail available every day of the school holidays, to discover Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and The Gruffalo, using the FREE Gruffalo Spotters 2 App! Bring each character to life through Augmented Reality and explore the latest features of the App including video recording, interactivity with the characters and selfie mode.

Then, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday of the holidays, meet The Gruffalo himself onsite at Illawarra Fly! Available at 11:30am and 1:30pm, The Gruffalo will be at the start of the Treetop Walk to say hello, take photos with and hand out special stickers*.

The App and trail are based on the best-selling picture book, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Mixing animated characters with the real-world environment, children are encouraged to use their imagination, get exploring and feel immersed in a fun forest experience. All content captured can be saved to your device and shared using the #GruffaloSpotters hashtag.

• We are open every day during NSW school holidays (19 December - 26 January).
• Open hours from 10am - 5pm (last entry 4pm).
• Booking online is essential. We've reduced our Treetop Walk and Zipline Tour capacity. Booking online includes pre-paying and selecting the date and time slot of your visit.
• We are cashless - please ensure you bring your card for on-site purchases.
• We ask all staff and guests to practice social distancing and make use of the hygiene stations at the attraction.
